{"id":7464,"date":"2009-07-23T17:00:58","date_gmt":"2009-07-23T23:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dreamdawn.com\/sh\/post_view.php?index=7464"},"modified":"2009-07-23T17:00:58","modified_gmt":"2009-07-23T23:00:58","slug":"struggling-to-keep-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/horror.dreamdawn.com\/?p=7464","title":{"rendered":"Struggling to Keep Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Holy crap there are a lot of horror games coming out real soon.\u001a\u0001\u0018  <a href = \"?p=13200000\">Ju-on: The Grudge<\/a> is coming out in a few days here in Japan, a sequel to <a href = \"?p=12800000\">Nanashi no Geemu<\/a> called <i>Nanashi No Geemu: Me<\/i> (that&#8217;s &#8220;Nameless Game: The Eye&#8221;) is scheduled for the end of August,  <a href = \"?p=13300000\">Calling<\/a> has been promoted from <a href=\"http:\/\/kotaku.com\/5311782\/hudson-soft-dials-up-the-horror-with-calling\/gallery\/\">rumor to a real, live game<\/a>, and <a href = \"?p=13100000\">Cursed Mountain<\/a> is supposed to come out in about two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s not even considering <a href = \"?p=13700000\">Silent Hill: Shattered Memories<\/a>, which is supposed to ship this year, or the new <a href=\"http:\/\/kotaku.com\/5276528\/oh-yeah-psp-getting-its-own-resident-evil\">Resident Evil PSP game<\/a> that Capcom just announced, the game that  <a href=\"http:\/\/g4tv.com\/thefeed\/blog\/post\/697094\/Call-of-Juarez-Developers-Zombie-Game-Dead-Island-Still-Alive-And-Kicking.html\">materializes on the media radar once ever six months<\/a>  before vanishing without any new information, the still-in-development <a href = \"?p=13400000\">Dead Island<\/a>, or the <i>Saw<\/i> game that is looking increasingly likely this year (sigh).<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no way I can keep up with this kind of pace!  My goal is to finish my 50th horror game his year; that shouldn&#8217;t be too hard, as I only have about four more games to go.  On the other hand, if I don&#8217;t pick up the pace a little bit finishing four games in the next five months may be rough.<\/p>\n<p><font size=\"-3\">PS: Thanks to all the folks on <a href=\"forum\">the forum<\/a> for keeping me in the loop about new games and posting links<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"-3\">PPS: 4 out of 6 console games in this post are Wii-exclusive.
