Robot Invader

I don’t usually use this space to talk about myself, but I thought you guys might be interested in why my posting schedule has fallen off a cliff again this year. As you may now, I spent the last several years working at Google, first as an engineer and then as an evangelist for the Android platform. In April I left Google and founded a startup, Robot Invader, a game studio focused on console-style mobile games. No horror games in production yet, but mark my words, I’ll make one eventually.

Anyway, if you’re interested in what I’m doing with Robot Invader, check out the blog that I’m writing specifically for it. I also have a Twitter account.

On my last trip to Japan I brought back Ikenie No Yoru (“Night of Sacrifice”), a Wii horror game that somehow employs the Balance Board. I think it’ll be my next target.

  1. Congrats on the startup. I hope it’s everything you want it to be.

Hopefully ‘Night of the Sacrifice’ will get a western release. The few trailers (one weird one involving scaring an A/V model) look interesting. Apparently it also has co-op.

  2. You’re awesome Chris. Have a great beginning and please review Ikenie No Yoru soon. Are you only interested in the Android Platform? No plans for iOS? Anyway… looking up for that horror game that sooner or later you’ll be announcing here! 😉

  3. Oh, we’re shipping for Android, iOS, and any other platform I can get my hands on! Thanks for the kind words!
