New Kuon Screens / Info

Game Online has posted new screens and information on Kuon. The site is in Japanese, but I’ve duplicated the screens here. According to the site, From Software has announced Kuon’s shipping date as April 1st of this year. The game takes place some 1200 years ago, and looks quite promising.

More Silent Hill Details

GameScience is reporting more details about Silent Hill 4: The Room. The latest in Konami’s growing horror franchise, subtitled “The Room”, promises as much mental anguish as the previous games in the series. This time the lead character, Henry Townsend, starts the game trapped in his apartment in Ashfield, near Silent Hill. After four days […]

Fatal Frame 2

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly is out, and is accumulating pretty good reviews. By all accounts it is scarier than the first, and I am looking forward to getting my hands on it. In the mean time, I’ve been playing Clock Tower 2 and Extermination, both of which are pretty fun.

Siren Details

1Up.com has posted a detail-rich preview of Siren. Interestingly enough, the article mentions that you must play without the ability to attack. In a previous news post, I lamented the fact that most survival horror games boil down to causing zombie heads to explode, and I suggested that games like the Clock Tower Series might […]

Biohazard Online

The Magic Box has a bunch of new info and images from Biohazard: Outbreak (Resident Evil: Outbreak in the States), as well as some preview movies (one and two) in MPEG format. Also of note, the ‘Box reports that Famitsu has rated Siren 32/40 (four reviewers: 9, 7, 8, 8), which is very good. Glass […]

Plague of Darkness

The MagicBox has some info and screens on Namco’s Plague of Darkness. I can’t tell from the information available if this title will really be worthy of the list, but it certainly looks promising.

The Zombies Have Flashlights!!

The Magic Box has posted a bunch of new movies and screenshots from Siren. The game looks amazingly cool, if very Silent Hill-esque. The “Another World” video shows off how the main character can see through the eyes of the zombies in the world. The Magic Box also posted this story summary: The story is […]

Siren Stuff!!

The Magic Box has posted a whole bunch of screenshots from Siren, a freaking awesome looking horror game from Sony. The info includes a trailer that is unfortunately encoded in RealMedia format.

Nebula – Echo Night

I’ve added Nebula – Echo Night to the database. This is From Software’s follow-up to their PSX games Echo Night and Echo Night 2. Like the first two games, the goal is to track down ghosts, this time on a lunar base, and figure out why they are stuck in the human world. IGN has […]

Resident Evil Outbreak

The Magic Box has posted new images of Resident Evil Outbreak. I played a four-player version of this game at E3 this year, and despite some minor network problems the demo looked excellent.
